How to extend the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy S i9000 Video
http://bit.ly/galaxyS3500mAh Power management is a huge problem for high-end Android smartphones. The issue can be tackled in two ways: by managing power consumption (changing the way you use your cell handset) and by replacing the stock battery with a high capacity alternative. This video shows you how to install the replacement battery, and discusses the benefits of using a heavy-duty battery in a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 handset.

the thickness of the extended battery is accommodated by the replacement phone cover which ships with the battery. If your question relates to the orientation of the battery (ie, which way in does it go?) just? make sure the battery terminals (the shiny gold parts) align with the connections on the handset. If you're unsure, just watch the video again... it's all there for you to see.

Good point Sean- ...
Good point Sean- I'm sure there are numerous mounting devices for which this is a problem. They mostly appear to be form-fitting to the stock profile and orignal battery cover design. I have seen adjustable phone mounts though, which can be ratcheted in and out to suit the size and shape of a range of devices. Maybe one of? those could provide the solution?

I've got the same battery on my Galaxy S. It's brilliant. My only issue has been that with the increased size of the phone it? no longer fits my car mount/charger setup - still yet to solve that one.
